auto clear...

 y1   I posted this on the open forum also, a frien of mine made me a power panel and I want to keep it clean.
  Can I brush auto clear on it, if not what should I use, and why?

Gil,

You can brush it on, but it is pretty expensive stuff.  Also, you'll have to be aware of the working time to complete the project before it starts to catalyze.  I would suggest using something like Minnwax polyurethane or an equivalent.  Don't use the water based clears (not fuel resistant), but the solvent based products are good for flight boxes, etc.

 y1   Doc and Paul, I sure do thank y'all for the help, put a coat of auto clear on it yesterday, and another today.
  Paul I already had it in house, but will remember the poly urethane trick.

Now give it time to cure.   As with almost any finish there is a cure to touch time and a cure to use time.    H^^
