Verrry Nice.
That was a very fun day.
It was pretty windy, but
it made for some very nice Bi-Slobbing weather.

Thanks again everyone, for putting on another successful contest!
See everyone again next year

How much wind was there?  I have flown in Wichita when planes should have stayed in the car.  But, it looks like I may have to put Memphis on one of my to do contests, like Paducah.  Would go to St Louis, but, had already made reservations for Tulsa contest.  Great slide show.  DOC Holliday

Most of the time the wind it not too bad in this part of the country. But thanks to Ike we got more then our share of high winds on Saturday. Funny thing is the weather man called for 20-30 mph on Sunday and by the afternoon it was 5-10 mph. Very flyable.

You need to put this contest on your list Doc. They feed you, provide drinks. Have a porta potty and lots of places to sit and visit. What more would you need at a contest? Oh yea and 4 circles to fly on. <=

I thought the music was more "Nashville" than Memphis...otherwise, very good job on the slide show. Looks like a great place to fly and kibitz, too. I envy you y'all. Any fliers from Winchester or Estil Springs show up? I lived there as a pup.  y1 Steve

Let me tell you about the wind at Memphis...my 62oz. plane was like "swinging an anvil around on a hunk of kite string." After the squares, I did three laps, contemplated a "wave off." I pressed on...by the time the flight had ended, I had been pulled off balance three times. No matter where I placed the next maneuver, I couldn't stop the "windup." I was relieved when it was over, but learned allot about limitations.

BTW: Paul great slide show...Ryan, "keep the greasy side down."
