Who sees what?

I am curious.  Whenever I log on to SH I see all new posts in all forums.  I assumed everybody does but there is a huge difference between posting in a specialty forum and the main forum when it comes to responses.  When I post a question in the main forum I get responses almost immediately.  If I put the same question in the specialty forum where it belongs I may never get a response, even if it is simply to tell me that the question was stupid. LL~

Thanks, that explains it.  Without that set you have to go looking when you log in and most will just go to the main forum.
I have that set.  Apparently most don't.
