What Plane is this ??? (district 6)
« on: January 14, 2008, 12:36:55 PM »
All

Looking through Stunt News May/June 05 page 15 (District 6) - there is a picture of a Rounded fuselage airplane with the caption "Robert Compton Assists Roy Trantham with a flight on the airport at Tifton.

What I want to know is - what is the model - and are there any other pics or better plans for this thing - I really like the way it looks

If it is the Highjacker, the construction article is in Flying Models, Sep, 2004.  Roy Trantham originated the idea.  Tom Luper developed the plans from Roy's ideas.  Alan Brickhause wrote the article.  Charlie Reeves colaborated on the construction.

61.5 inch span, 696 sq in.  A serious design for some serious stunt flying.

Nice looking airplane with some really nice people involved.

Hi, Wynn
It is a beauty, isn't it?

Go to www.flying-models.com and click on "Plans".  The Highjacker, designed by Roy Trantham, is Plan No. CD232.  It is two sheets for $17.00 (USD).  At the same site, you can order a copy of the construction article to be mailed with it.
