I had this job two drone generations ago...QF106.  Money well spent.  Obsolete, timed out aircraft repurposed to provide development aids for the next generation of weapons and pilots.

It is a bit un-nerving to sit with your hands in your lap while the plane you are riding in does touch and goes....ah, the life of a drone safety pilot.
