What is this covering?
« on: March 21, 2012, 04:38:08 PM »
I found two partial rolls of plastic film covering in my stash.  One is fluorescent yellow, the other fluorescent orange.  They are both white on the back side, and pretty thin.  No labels...I need to know the heat range...thinking of using over foam.
TIA.

Ultracote comes with a white backing material,, it feels kind of "krinkly" instead of soft like solar film or black baron film,,
they also make fluorescent colors,,

The backing that peels off is clear plastic.  The covering is actually whitish on the glue side.

Probably Monokote, I just used up the last of my fluorescent stash as well.
It's only paranoia if they aren't really after you.

so you are saying that when you peal the CLEAR backing off, the back of the film is white, regardless of the top surface color?
then I have no clue,,

Yes, glue side is white regardless of the top surface.
No label alnog the edge like MonoKote and no watermarks that I can find.  It's about 12 years old or so, but was well stored and still good.

Can't think of the name, but World Models sells a brand with white on the back. They use to make Sigs ARF.
