What do you all do in this instance

I have asked this before  - but nobody really answered.

Pretty much every plan I have (and that is over 700) shows the same details on fixing the stationary flap to the TE - and in all cases the TE is wider than the tab or fixed flap - so in the location of the fixed tab at the end of a wing – how do you get a smooth transition for the TE to the tab???

If you follow the shape of the airfoil, you drastically reduce the area of the tab.
 
Generally I have used filler here to make a smooth transition – but is there a better way?

Your last pic is how I would do it, Wynn. The flat flaps most of us use make this proper, it follows the airfoil of the rest of the wing. I make the outboard tab an adjustable surface.

Design the rib TE higher then use an applicable flap design to fit for a smooth transition.
It will take some work , but what does not.
