"Bully"?   LL~ Steve

Doesn't Warren Tiahrt have plans, too? Could be wrong. MA plan service is probably the best place to look.

My USA-1 and the in work Lunar were both drawn by Warren Tiahrt.  The accuracy, quality, and detail is excellent on both

AMA does not list the Lunar in their plans. Is there any other source?

A comparison of dimensions of the Juno to the Junar would be interesting.  How many years between the two designs?

Juno:  Flying Models - January 1980

Junar:  Flying Models - January 1991

bonus

USA 1:  Model Aviation - March 2004.  Won the World Championship in 1970 (after placing 3rd at the 70 Nats).  Also,  repeated the World Championship in 1972, was second at the 1974 World Championships behind Bob Gieseki.   Nationals Stunt Championship in 1971 and 1981.

An 11 year difference.  I suppose the increase in side area was occasioned by the use of a piped engine, but I wonder if this was also a welcome change in that it increased the side area?  If he built a new design using an electric system would he decrease the side area to that of older designs?  I'll be Brett would say not?

The flapped ribs on the Juno are an art form all by themselves.

I notices that he also deleted the forward sweep of the trailing edge and capped the front of the leading edge, but not to the extent of most sheeted leading edges.  Why do you think he did that?

To me the Juno looks like a derivation of the Super Ares whereas the lineage from Juno to Junar is not as apparent.

Mentions trim in Yaw & Roll , in the P-47 artical. so later avoided T E Sweep .

Er Whoops . re read . Thats diheadral hes complaining about . on outsides .

Id found the opposite with that ! .

Sure ive seen a Yaw / Flap hinge sweep comentary somewhere . Pretty sure it was Bill .
