A few folks have contacted me regarding some problems they have encountered in using the rsm web site. As of today at 2 PM here is what we have learned.
We suffered a "hack" on the site. It appears that some clown decided to add a tiny bit of text that diverted people from
www.rsmdistribution.com to a web site of his. We found this text and deleted it from the site. Next we found that if customers tried to get to the site by using Google or Yahoo there was a "diversion" embedded in the two search engines. If this is happening to you just renew Google or Yahoo and it will go away. Better yet simply type in
www.rsmdistribution.com in the search field at the top of the page and you will go directly to the site. You can then save the site to your favorites.
The next bit of trouble occurred when customers attempted to purchase products on the site. At the time of purchase the site threw up an error message saying that there was a potential Trojan attached to the site. This message was not accurate as the "clown" was trying to scare people away from the site. We have corrected this fake message and it will not occur anymore.
We apologize for any problems that customers have had due to this jerk playing games on the internet. Thank you to everyone who advised me of the problems. Without the "heads up" we could not have found the problem and solved it so quickly.
