Waht channel are they on?? I have Dish 250 channel and can't find them, but it is like looking for a needle in a haystack (or a Fox 35 wristpin clip on a dusty cellar floor).

Bill Try Google the air race schedule for your area and see what you get.  I hope it helps.  I watch them here in TX on Fox Sports SouthWest.

I watched the Red Bull Races here on TV last weekend.  The actual event was held in Perth Australia.  Very exciting stuff!  They fly within 20 metres of the water and the pylons are only 10 metres apart.

The aircraft flown are mainly the Extra 300S and the Edge 540.  These aircraft are available in kit form and ARF for R/C so I guess they could be converted to control line. Has anyone done it?

Apparently to get into the event the pilots have to meet very strict critrea. e.g. they need something like 150 hours normal single engine aircraft time plus 150 hours in an aerobatic aircraft and then they are put through a training program and tested to make sure they are good enough to compete. Only the best of the best pilots get in.  Correct me if I am wrong but the guy who won the world title this year is a former Top Gun.

If you mean just the paint scheme Paul Ferrell flew a nicely done Vector at the Nat's this past year in Red Bull colors. Maybe someone has a picture of it?

If you mean the aircraft design itself Extra, Edge, CAP etc..... Some have already been modeled and done VERY well. Again maybe someone has pictures?

It's on TV all the time around here.  In between team sports highlights.

About 4 or 5 genuine competators, racing around big inflated pylons on a river.   It will take you about two minutes to see all there is to see.   This guy beat that guy by 3 tenths.
