Foam wing for a Hallmark

I have a foam wing from a Hallmark that I crashed several years ago.  I finally disassembled the plane, saving what I can.  There is some damage on the wing that can be repaired but I'm wondering if it's worth saving.  With the finish with flaps and no wing tip weight it's right at 19 oz, which seems heavy for a wing that's a little over 600 squares(if memory serves).  I could probably knocked a little weight off by stripping the finish but really don't know how much.  So, is it worth saving or am I better off saving the controls and scrapping the rest?

James I can just offer an opinion.  I'm not a particularly light builder.  I just finished a new wing for next years Nats plane.  It's my 698 sq. Desperado wing with flaps,  controls and landing gear blocks installed- 13.4 ounces all up.  I'd say you better start with a new wing.

Hi James,

I have to agree with Dave, I think even if you stripped the wing, it would still be heavier than what you could build today.  Sames the controls and parts you can use and build another one.
