UPDATE====BEWARE of this online Hobby store
« on: August 17, 2011, 09:42:26 AM »
This only about one online Hobby Store. Quick Tech Hobby now called Replica RC HB~>
In April this year I ordered from Quick Tech Hobby and used my debit card. I never received a reply or the order. After I ordered I found out this is a scam run by Larry Quick of Sedalia Mo. After three weeks I sent a email telling them I was canselling my order as I had not hear from them and the phone number did not work. I was not charged nor did I get any thing from them. From what other had said On RC Universe I have watched for a charge for that amount to show up on my account. Today it showed up on my account but under his new name Replica RC. There is no Replica RC. He is still using the same phone number that has never worked. He will not answer emails. He will take your money and bill you later hoping you will not notice it.
I went to my credit union where my care is from and they have started a fraud file against Replica and will remove the charge from my account.
It was a good thing I had a copy of all the transitions in my email folder as it made it very easy for the bank to see what he had done. To stop him from doing this again to me they giving me a new debit card number. I buy many supplies from from online vendors for model aircraft and bicycle parts and have no problems with them. #^
THIS IS JUST ABOUT QUICK TECH HOBBY and REPLICA RC.

UPDATE  The day after I got the charge at the bank I received a email from Replica saying they were going to try and fill my order.
I emailed them that I had not ordered anything from Replica. Yesterday they emaile me and said they would cancell my order.
They didn't cancell my order that ran up charges of over $400 at Barnes and Noble and Macys. I contacted both of the stores fraud department and they cancelled the charges and refunder my account.
Now I am waiting for the code numbers to actIvate my new card
The new name he is using is HENERYMICHAEL@ROCKETMAIL.COM

I had a similar experience a little over a year ago with Quick Tech.
Had to go thru the fraudulent charges process with my card company, finally get credited the full amount about 4-5 months later.
QT had indicated they had stock on some SIG dope discontinued colors I needed.  Took my order, but never shipped anything, and would not reply to calls or emails.

They have a F rating from the BBB.  you should always research a company before buying from them.
