Transformation
« on: May 22, 2010, 07:37:16 PM »
The transformation started out as slow combat, plane that needed repair It ended up looking like Mike Pratt's P Force with a combat wing. Power is Evolution 36, area is 560 sq in, weight 38 oz. Covering and trim is MonoKote while the white paint is Klass Kote. Maiden flights will be Sunday.

That looks great and what an idea.  Hope it flies as well as it looks.  Also How is the Evo .36 working.  I have mine in the ARF Nobler and the only way I can get it to start is with the big stock muffler.  Have also put a gibber venturi on it.  Let us know how it goes. H^^

Well the flights went as well as can be expected today with the weather. The weather hear in Phx has been like Tucson, windy every weekend. The only good thing about that is, the temp has really been nice. Only about 78 today. So instead of getting much flying in, the BBQ was cooking Italian sausage and we did a bunch of bench flying. Will try again next week.

As for the Evo starting is not a problem, first or second flip with or without a tongue muffler. I'm using the small venturi with an OS RC needle assembly with the needle on the bottom. I have this same setup on a Ukie running a 10x6 APC and it works great. Right now on this plane I'm running the 10.5 x 4.5 because that's what I had laying around.
