Mr. Cralley:
Just to throw in an item, I would like to first be a disclaimer. I own no stock in
Flying Models magazine, however it is by far my favorite one. I have been a subscriber beyond my memory.
For your request, may I say that the March 2009 issue of FM has an article that should wow any person with any interest in electrics, ducted fans, etc., etc. The building article is truly a work of art including foam and wood structure. The machine is, as presented, RC. However as almost any model airplane, changing an RC to CL or vice versa is no big deal. I strongly reccommend anyone with any real modeling interest check this out.
For me I have no interest in electric. Another week and I turn 73 with modeling junk dated back into the late '40s. Still this FM article is fascinating. 40" wingspan, 67" long, B-58 Hustler, Composite of sheet foam and balsa.
FYI, I am now trying to get back into some OT Stunt after 35 years away from CL. Man, it ain't easy
