I am just ribbing you - it does however make reading you post a little bothersome - which is not so good, as you often have good tales to tell.

as I said in my reply to you CAPS in this day an age - means SHOUTING!!!!!  so imagine the looks I get reading your posts out loud....  n~

Wynn,

You clearly haven't met Donnie. That's how he talks all the time. Too many years in the wind tunnel at Boeing.

I wonder if maybe they  had locked shultzie, duct taped to the wind tunnel chamber while they ran the tests, that way he could "observe first hande" the results,, and not drive em crazy in the control room,,,
lol,,
maybe a little forced air respiration to recover from inhaling paint fumes
For years the rat race had me going around in circles, Now I do it for fun!

Kieth and Mark...
OK! The TRUTH.....YES!

They not only DUCT TAPED me to the floor but also bound both my hands and feet. In that photo you see.....
They are now discussing  just how to dispose of my body by either tossing me over the fence and into the Duwamish river that runs next to the Wind tunnel complex or stripping my badge and banning me from this test.

What really happened was that while working on the outside nacelle...I FORGOT that I had one of my rapid-o-graph ink pens...in my shirt pocket and during between runs...it fell out onto the floor of the wind tunnel.
Attached photo is a drawing of the retiring master model maker, Don Archer...my mentor...(who also was famous or infamous for leaving tools inside the test chamber.) But he was such a gifted model maker they would never think of BRAKING THE TUNNEL RAT CODE!
After they started up the windtunnel fans..they noticed that a strange looking pen started to slide down toward the fan section.
The test director YELLED! "HIT THE Q STOPPER!" (which instantly shuts off the power and stops the fan blades.

After they picked up that pen, they noticed my RED FACE...and noticed the "SHULTZIE" name stamped on my inking pen.

Many times they FIRE folks for leaving items in the test section, but due to the fact that I had an unfinished retirement drawing of the test director, sitting on my drafting table...

It was just simply easier to DUCT TAPE ME DOWN and continue the test run, but luckily
after this photo was taken...they carried me back to my studio...and chained me to my drawing table so I could finish that loonie toon in time for the retirement party the next day.

The moral of this story....I was told by one of my mentors..."NEVA-EVA' SIGN ANY OF YOUR TOOLS OR ITEMS" when you work in the test chambers. This will protect both the quilty and innocent alike and the code to never RAT ON A WINDTUNNEL RAT will never be broken and all will live to work another day with pay. LL~ LL~
