Here in the Northern Hemisphere we are freezing our 'patooties' off - including here in Arizona, where it's currently colder than the inside of my refrigerator.

We'll trade you places in another six months....

Or.... You could grab a silver bird down this way and attend the NZ Nats from 1-5 January!!

Australia has their Nats about the same time if snakes and roos don't bother you :lol:

It's a bit breezy for flying here right now, but that's a good thing because it's too damn hot outside anyway! Lots of last minute work and model prep to attend to.

Yeah, right...
Summer, it rains every day, usually very heavy rain, so whatever you wanna do, do it in the morning.
Right now 90ºF, with a low of 71ºF, 100% chance of rain anytime.
But it beats ther cold, which I don't like.

Well, off to club... and bring your raincoat!!!

Well, the snow caused cancellation of schools in Shawnee KS. Temps in the low 20F degrees. In other words too cold for this old man any more. They say we got 4 inches of snow, but I measured less. Didn't even make it to the shop as had to keep eye on the grandkids.

I strongly recommend Alberto Parra´s yearly december competition at Gran Canaria Islands.
25 degrees celsius plus, perfect circle for aerobatics and speed limit combat.
Excellent food ,best red wine, an experience you will never forget.

Like I said before, the rain comes and there's nothing you can do...
The pic was taken today, at around 4, when the rain finally stopped and we could get some flying.
And still, now it's 6:45 and the temp is 77ºF...
Forecast for tomorrow, high of 90 and a low of 71... and 100% chance of rain anyminute!!

Here in Concord NC it was very nice flying weather on Wensday 60+ degrees and no wind. I did test flying and fun flying some old models. No one there except me. Today Friday and it's 48 degrees and the wind is 15-25 all day Next week it should be back in the 60's and good flying weather. Anyone coming through the Charlotte area let me know and I can meet you at the Huntersville field

It's probably not too well known but here in Australia we don't worry too much about the solstices because we don't use them as a mark for season changes. Instead we use the first day of the month that the solstice occurs in which means we went to summer on Dec 1. I believe only two other countries do this too, South Africa and New Zealand. That said, I'm about to go flying. It's a balmy 30C (85F) right now but it's on the rise and is tipped to reach 35C (95F) shortly. Have to make the most of it before the hot weather arrives in a few weeks

Same here Ed, flew 12-4 pm Wednesday and looking good Sun and Monday. Found a new spot to fly, 3.7 miles from the house. I will need more fuel Monday probably.

Just got home with the wife and both planes. 57* w/ 8-9 mph wind, a good December day !

Only reason we stopped was because we ran out of fuel. Called the LHS and he will have me some more Powermaster for Christmas Day flying. Suppost to be 59* w/ 4-6 mph winds ?

Could not get the K&B 40 to run consistant like the OS 46

but maybe Christmas Day will be different ?

LHS owner came through this morning with his personal batch of Powermaster 10/22 brought from his home. Thanks Alan.
The store had run out of that brand and the new shipment hadn't arrived yet. You just can't beat the customer service of Hayes Hobby House in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Now the wife and I are flying once again on Christmas Day. 60* and 3 mph wind.
