Does anyone have any pictures of the T/G cowl?  The plans only show a side view with no detail other than the attachment tabs. Hmm.....

   Let me dig around, I am sure I have some, probably inflight, but pretty good (thanks to Nikon and 1/4000 second shutters).

 The "Thunder Gazer Cow" is a side project of the West Coast Sekrit Kabal. David did such a good job designing the airplane that we transferred him to our extensive genetic engineering division.  But don't talk about that in public!

Tom...Just put a big ole hole in the front so air can get to the engine and another hole for it to get out!

  Remember, the exit hole should not exist. Or at least, not in the cowl.

     If you put almost any air exhausts in the cowl, before about the coupler, the front end of the pipe will very likely melt. The air should come in the front, and exit only around the pipe tunnel. Air needs to come in the front and flow over the pipe, DO NOT put any outlets ahead of the coupler. Same with a fully enclosed pipe, the air cannot exit before the end.

   In Dave's case, the coupler is out in the breeze right under the fuel tank, but there are effectively no outlets in the cowl.

I know that the gene splicing experiments were to be kept under wraps, but don't you find it somewhat suspicious that Dave so eagerly volunteered?

I cant help but thinking that Dave has other motives in mind here. A couple of years ago he said something about what it might take to get
possession of Walter Johnson or Warren Spahn's DNA.

Knowing the way Dave has always tried to bend and twist the rules of the "Hurl" and as smart as Dave is, I think our friend is up to no good.

Just something for the "Hurl Committee to start thinking about.

Brett, thanks for that important detail.

It will be a bit (sometime this spring) I think for completion. It's going to have a two piece wing, and three piece fuse (tail feathers removable like Mike Haverly's Sultan, and a separation behind the trailing edge similar to one of Kaz's Blue Max's. All this is so that it can be transported in a box on my bike (Triumph type).
I just hope Dave F. isn't going to be offended by the paint scheme.
