The Buso Jaguar WILL be kitted
« on: April 10, 2011, 09:25:38 AM »
The response to the survey for the Jaguar was tremendous and we have enough interest to go ahead with kitting the model.  Thank you all.

Since we are going to kit it so you can use either glow or electric power systems, we feel this will open up some additional opportunities to those of you who have converted to electric.  The cost of the kit will be the same and the parts needed for the conversion will be included in every kit.

Thank you again for your support and I am as anxious as all of you to get this model on my bench.

I have also created a specific e mail for Jaguar customers for communications back and forth. It is busojaguar@yahoo.com. You can still reach me of course at stuntsupply@yahoo.com, my regular company e mail.

Was the Jaguar designed as a piped ship? What was the original powerplant? Some of us just don't know much about Buso's designs, tho I have seen a few pictures and little 3-views here and there. Not much detail! :-[ Steve

The plans I have show a Tigre 46 for power. And I think it was not design for pipe but you can add if you like

Pictures of Steve Buso designs are pretty scarce. Hopefully this kit can change that a bit.
There's a couple of Jaguar pics in the "Jaguar - Kit Survey" thread:

I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

The Jaguar is a pretty model and IIRC, a NATS Advanced winner.  Putting a pipe to it might need a slight change to the fuselage bottom if you use one of the later, wider, pipes.  And to "hide" it if you want to.  I don't remember there being a lot of fuselage structure under the wing. ???

The airplane was designed for a rear exhaust engine with an extension on the exhaust. If a pipe is going to be added, it would have to be external under the fuselage. There is no room for a pipe inside the fuselage.
