Excellent kit-bash. It looks very good as is. But, you did such a great job you owe it to your plane to go a few steps farther! :-)
Randy is right, panel lines would help. I was pleasantly surprised how much of a difference they made on my P-40 camo scheme.
Another item that would help is a set of military decals: , EMERGENCY yellow triangle, FUEL, USAF, etc. The scale is around "1/5 scale". The T38 had a WS of around 25'. You may be able to get a plastic kit of a T-38 and photo copy their decal sheet onto AVERY (# 8665) stick on clear 8 1/2 x 11 sheets at a blown up 1/5 scale.
