Stunt Hangar 1 year anniversary
« on: February 01, 2007, 10:51:59 AM »
The 7th of February Stunt Hangar will be one year old. I would like to Thank everyone who has participated in the forum. It has been a real challenge! I think the reason for it's success is the policy's that I have set forth. There have been many things posted I don't like or agree with but because they are not outside the set boundary's, I say nothing. I am not for censorship however I am for order.

The other thing that make this a success is I do all the programming. I do not have to rely on someone else to set the codes or upload files and such. One other big factor is the CO-OP system set up. We have moderators that over see the biggest part of the board. They do a great job of over seeing the day to day functions, that if were left to me alone I could never keep up with. Part of being a good manger is to not over manage.

A question is was put to me "how do afford this?" Well the labor is free. (mine) The programs are expensive but they are paid for by donations. So its really you who make this happen. I am just a tool. This site is just a very small part of what I have in mind. In the next year you will see another face lift, a wave of technology never before used on the web. If you think this is a dream just stick around and see what happens. I have much to learn yet and I hope to live long enough to make it all come true! (I forgot I have so many unfinished projects to do I won't have time to die) The reason I say this is I have it all on paper what I want to see but the amount of time it takes to first learn how to do each thing and then use it is horrific. So maybe in another 1600 hrs I can put into play the next generation of advancements. The stage is set, now its time for the play. I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Yes I think it's a dream.  I also think Stunthanger was a dream.  See, they can come true!  Lot's of work though.  Yes I do enjoy SH a lot.

Bob,

I for one am looking forward to what you have in store in the future.  You have made the best site for control line stunt and other disciplines easy to use, relevant to what we are all enjoying and have done it with class and respect.

Keep up the good work, I know I appreciate it and so do many others.

I'll make another donation when I see you again - either out at the field or at a club meeting.

Carry on!   y1

Steve

One Year? That was a big shock to me. I just got back in to C/L last fall and as I was looking for forums. When I found Stunt Hanger i thought this is great. It has such things as scale and carrier which were the two events I flew many years ago. After I had been viewing it a while I would have guessed that it had taken years to refine and bring it to the point where it is.
