Stalker 40 Info
« on: September 24, 2006, 05:18:42 PM »
Looking to give a Stalker 40 rear exhaust motor a try.  Any recommendations on fuel,
nitro content, oil, props or tanks would be appreciated. Are these touchy to altitudes or temperature, or are they just a user friendly motor? I am familiar with the La40 and La46. How do they compare? Would like to try this in something like a Vector 40.  Thanks

Hi John,

Have had quite a bit of experience with a Stalker .61 but never ran a 40. Best I can tell you is the Stalkers re shipped set up for low or no nitro fuel and if you are going to run more than a couple percent nitro you will need to add head shims.

Hopfully some one with direct experience with the 40 will see your post..

Hi John,

Phil Green has a first series Stalker 46 and it is excellent.  All the reports I have heard on the Stalker engines have been excellent.
