This could be tired old news to everyone, but spraying adhesive on the back side of a monokote patch when repairing a tear makes the job easier and manageable. It eliminates the need for an extra set of hands.
The spray has to be a dusting. Holding the can about three feet away gives the right amount. This will let you position, stretch, lift and reposition the piece a number of times after letting the adhesive set for about a minute after spraying.
Below is a four bay repair on a Buster from spar to LE. The first photo is the patch positioned and stretched out with only the spray adhesive holding it on, and the second is after the application of heat. Not much difference.
