Spinner Help
« on: January 22, 2008, 08:28:18 PM »
I am trying to find a 1 1/2" precut spinner or someone that can cut a spinner for a Zinger, TF, BYO etc. 10" prop.

At this point I don't care if the spinner is aluminum, plastic, titanium, steel....LOL.....etc. but it needs to have a flat back plate.

Tru-Turn will not cut one, Dave Brown does not have one, Dubro, CG, Sig cannot be cut due to screw pegs, I did not see one on Brodaks site or Aero Products site.

As a last resort, is there info on proper cutting of a blank spinner?

I have exhausted all of my known sources.............HELP!

1 1/2 inch dia spinner on any 10 inch diameter prop is going to be pretty close inside. A very difficult job to say the least.  I will check my junk barrel and see if there is anything in there.  You might give Jim Lee a call on it as he has a lot of spinners with flat backplates.

I use MPI aluminum spinners, they are barstock, have a flat backplate and are very reasonable from S & S Hobbies. Instead of cutting them I use my Dremel drum sander attachment and widen the slot. Its pretty easy and looks professional.
