Nothing C/L related.  But my Missus pretty much lets me get what I want for C/L during the year, as long as I can afford it! LOL!!  That puts a lid on A LOT! LOL!!  No PA .40UL or else I wouldn't have a place to build or even sleep! LOL!!  I haven't had a credit card in almost ten years, and never will have again, so big expenditures are out of the question for my C/L stuff. ;D

However, on three different Christmases since we have been married (40 years), I received a Brodak Nobler kit, a TF ARF Nobler and a Sterling Ringmaster kit.  Of course, the boys were still at home then, and they talked Momma into getting them.  Hmmmm... the last son moved out about 8 years ago! LOL!!

Son Daniel bought us a 2 year deal on cell phones...paid, and says he'll renew them in 2 years, if we live that long. LL~ Also received some CD's to listen to in the truck, on the way to contests,  a couple of DVD's, and a Carhardt shirt..not a bad haul. No model airplane stuff at all, probably because I already have too much.  y1    Steve

I got the best gift you could possibly get. You cannot put a price on it, as there is not enough money in the world to pay for it. My whole family was here and will be here for another week. 23 in all. It doesn't get any better than this. Gotta run, it's "Rock-um Sock-um Robot" time with the kids.

My son purchased some CA bulbs and gave me a $20 gift certificate for the LHS.   I see some glue in my future with that one.  The little woman scored me a new hand drill and a new wallet complete with a $20 bill ready to go to the LHS along with the gift certificate.  Not a bad year at all.

Hi David,
That is rough at Christmas. Like my daughter, who is waiting for he redundancy letter, with our new governments austerity measures.......
I treated myself to a new piston/liner for my Allbon Dart which celebrated its 60th anniversary this Christmas! For you glow people, that is a 0.5cc diesel engine..............and yes I DO fly stunt with it!

Seasons greetings,

hi Jamie,

The OS .10 FP had a unique NVA and venturi that is shared only with the OS .10FSR.  I have a few of each (engines that is) but have not found the NVA and venturi I need to keep them "original".    The search has been ongoing for probably a year! LOL!! I had one I sent to a friend to copy, but that's been a while back.  I ain't worried, since "beggars can't be choosers" and they were being done for free! LOL!!  And I can be slower than a snail with CA on it's bottom sometimes, myself.  I even checked out an original NVA in Finland!  But it was gone.  :'(  LOL!!

James Lee had some Delrin venturi at Huntersville marked for "OS .10FP".  I believe he would be a great source for what you need.  And, I "believe" an OS .15FP NVA will substitute for the original NVA.

Let me know if you find a source for the original parts, OK?

Happy New Year

My wife has seen me eyeing a Bordak Legacy kit recently at Roy's Hobby in Hurst, Texas. I have it with my other kit stash now. She asked me
if I had a new engine for it and I do. I have a brand new in the box LA .46  Our grown kids and their families were here today for our side of Christmas. I am a proud papa when they all come together....................usually only on Christmas. Their mother won't take no for an answer. Some will come on the 4th. of July since we live on a lake. At this age I cherish every gathering. Now it is time to clean up and put away for another year.

Good choice Phil- I have an '04 Extended Cab and love it. I can fit a TF Score, CG Shoestring, a Ringmaster, Sig Akromaster, a couple 1/2As and flight kit in the back seat and still have room for a buddy !

I got 4 out of 6 of the Guillows 24" WS WW II series. Just need to get the Zero and Mustang to complete the set! They were on clearance- 75% of- 4 for $42, heck the decals are worth 1/2 that to me.

Hi Bill,

Good catch!  Ron Burn has made a very sweet stunter out of the Zero in that series.  Used a lost foam geo wing he developed and covered the plane with 1/32nd, 1/20th and 1/5th balsa.  it looks exactly like his .60 size Zero Scale Stunt!  I'm looking at doing a P-39 the same way.  Look term project! ;D

Hey Bill-  yeah I was pretty thrilled to get 4 for the price of 1!

I built the P-40 as a C/L back in the 70s, Dual port .049 and the 3 bladed prop from a Cox Mustang. Flew marginally- switched to a 6X3 2 blade and it was better- but I'm pretty sure if I had left some of AeroGloss Tan and Green dope in the bottle it would have flown better!

You're correct, Gordon, no excuses! ;D  I flew a SV11 on a .40VF years ago, and it was fine.  The .46VF should have just that much more power.  (and the .40VF had plenty of power to do the job)
