Does anyone happen to have accurate CAD plans for the Forerunner? I'm refinishing/completing the one I started something like 18 years ago, and I would like to try verify it against the actual plans since I scratch-built mine (was given foam cores by Tom Farmer and simply measured his plane for moments and such).

3-view plan would be of the most benefit. Right now, I know it's a little late to go back and make major structural changes, but I'm curious as to how much my version defers from the original.

Things that would be helpful to know:
Nose to leading edge distance
hingeline to hingeline distance
full or partial span flaps
standard horizontal tail, or does the elevator have the little counterbalances on the ends?

After I finish my Forerunner, and of course fly it, I'm thinking of using it's numbers to make a composite plane using structural foam and prepreg laminates, vacuum bagging the whole thing (in parts, of course).

Steve I went from work directly to the flying field tonight and got home pretty late. I'm coming straight home tomorrow and will bring that big box up and see what I can do for you. I won't be able to get you a three view but I can measure what's there in the box and on the plans. Hope it helps.

That very much will help. I know mine is slightly different since it's my interpretation of the Forerunner, ~18 years ago, but if it's just cosmetic, then it's ok.

Hope this gets you there. Looks like the plans got damp at some time but are mostly readable. The kit is fine though the box is terrible.

If he needs it I will. That's about $30 these days with postage. He seems to just want to check dimensions rather than actually build from scratch.

That's pretty much exactly what I needed and why. I have the plane already, just wondering how close what I built is to the plans, especially given it was some 18 years ago.

Meanwhile, I got a new puppy last night, a little Jack Russell.

Edit: Upon further review, it looks like the main difference is purely cosmetic on my part - I added a faux air scoop on the nose, changed the canopy outline a little, and perhaps enlarged the rudder a bit. Everything else seems to be spot on. Big thank you, Dave.
