Being a fan of Pats designs,, I gotta say, this interpretation is pretty awesome,, your not a navy fan by any chance are ya? hmm PBY, now this?BTW, sent a link to Pat, so he can enjoy your rendition of his design too,,
You posted it on Oct 7, 2006. I would link it if I knew how, but I'm slightly computer illiterate . It comes up as the 3rd entry under Flying Clown search. I'm hoping that maybe somebody like Brodak will issue a copy of the Midwest 33" Airacobra and BF109. I like .15 size planes. I've had some success with a TT.09 powered Brodak Jr. Lightning Streak. TT.09s are cheap, economical and very powerful. BTW did I mention cheap?
Your paint job represents the leader of Blue section or the third section and needs a sold blue line around the aft portion of the fuselage. Just saying.
How did or does it fly? Did you find the motor to work well with it?
Ok thanks, here it is... https://stunthanger.com/smf/open-forum/brodak-flying-clown/msg14748/#msg14748
I think I am a bit confused. So either plane, if both have been flown, how did they fly?
I use an OS 25LA on my Shark w/ 9-4 APC prop, and fly it on 60' lines. The 9-4 prop works well.
BTW, if your 35S wants to run away, consider adding more castor to your fuel and/or reducing the venturi size down some. Richard Oliver suggested more layers of pantyhose filters as a poor man’s restrictor. Clever these guys. Let us know how this works. Possibly start a thread for the run away subject itself.
