Sealer for Brodak ARF film?
« on: August 05, 2021, 07:04:15 PM »
Is there a sealer that can seal the seams of Brodak film that is used on ARFs?
I have tried the monocoat sealer to no avail.....
Thinner dope?

TIA

Monokote Trim Cement, if it is still available, or brush some thinned Balsa-Rite or SIG Stix-It under the loose edges and seal down.
  Type at you later,

I have used thinned 5 minute epoxy to seal edges.

Hi Rich, A mixture of 50% Fletch Glue, the stuff used to mount feathers and such on arrows, and MEK or substitute, has worked for me. Apply with a q tip.

Reducer wiped into the edge will reactivate the adhesive. I use reducer to apply all of my trim film. Note: only work small areas at a time as you have about ten seconds to press it down.
