Sad News - Again
« on: October 29, 2010, 01:04:28 PM »
Just got off the phone with John Brodak.
He told me that John Snider just passed away.

If you did not attend the Fly-In or visit Carmichaels, you may not know him.
He was a member of the Carmichaels club, partially crippled and often helping out at the Fly-In.

Another one gone.

Nice person, a wonderful worker and a kingpin in the local club.  We will all miss him a bunch.

Blessings to his family.

"It is appointed once for man to die and then face the judgement." Life is short. Now that we all have way more stuff than we could possibly ever use or even want, what is going to happen to your stuff when you are gone? My next door neighbor has even more stuff than I do so he surely does not need any of my stuff and I sure don't need any of his. I remember once at a club fish fry and fun fly a lately deceased club member's stuff was laid out on the ground for inspection. No one dared asked the price as most of it had R/C type engines and the planes were not the best in quality. But when it was announced that they were all free it was like Vultures swooping down on a dead skunk in the road. It was all gone within 60 seconds. We just cannot get enough stuff can we?

:( John was always cordial to me and was a dependable and steady worker for the FlyIn. He was a very nice person and one who will be missed by many especially me.

Sincere sympathy to John's family.

With our prayers,

I had the privledge of working with John this last year at Brodaks and enjoyed it very much.  He was an interesting gentleman to talk with and I know he enjoyed the sport considerably.  He will be greatly missed.......
