I have four of these and picked two at random to test them out. I have parts and two set of cores for older AMA fast foamies. Look like over 400sq. " area. I want at least one new bird for these. Just for fun and get to use my ole Johnson .36 Combat special's. These .36's are all plain bearing. Now to the point of thread. Check plugs and both glowed nice. Set first one up in stand. Both are loaded with after run oil but bumped as soon as I applied battery. Third flip away and running real sweet. Shut it down and restart and away we go. Other engine took four hits and it to ran great. Happy camper..nice gool ole Johnson .36 Combat special. I have a semi FF kit of Sandy Hogan and hope to find a Johnson small case .29. Very cool old timer with built up pylon for wing. I have a nice very low time Blue LA .25 RC with muffer/box to trade for a good small case Johnson .29. I am not a collector or ebay scalper just a guy who has a nice project. I have a K&B .29 G/H four head bolt thats new but it has a long history. I let my friend use it back in 1964 but he never used it. A few years ago he contacted me from a RC forum and we got together. I asked him anout this engine and after 40+ years got it back still unrun or mounted.
I would not want to use it since it had quite a story behind it. Anyway the Johnson would be better. If I can not find one I may use a Johnson .36 Combat special. These engines were refered to as C/S or BB version JBB. We all know they were a full .36 RIGHT Jim ??
