RSM Naughty Girl

My RSM "Naughty Girl" kit(via Mike Griffin) arrived today. WOW!! great looking kit, super plans. Really need to finish my Brodak Sea Hurricane, so I can get this one started. I have a brand new OS 46LA waiting in the cabinet. I do have two questions:
1) Should I change the BC from 3" to 4" as is recommended? I do hope to fly competitively(next year?).
2)I am hoping to hear from someone who has one powered by a OS 46, what weight range is appropriate? I have a tendency to build heavy, so I need a target weight. Painted fuse and $$cote built up structures.

Hi Steve:

Go with the 4" bell crank.

You mentioned using the LA.46. Make sure that you look at the note on the profile fuselage. The original model was designed for a Brodak .40. Since the LA .46 is heavier take at least 1" out of the nose moment.

I have flown the one build by Andy Borgogna and must say that it performs extremely well! His is powered by an electric set up (our RSM46 Sys) and really flies the AMA Pattern with authority.
