My Ringmaster S-1 is ready for the Ring A Thon once again. How many of y'all plan on flying and did anyone build a new ringmaster for the event?

Hopefully, me and the guys in our little group here on the Space Coast will be flying!  I'm just hoping the temperatures will be in the upper 70's to low 80's with low humidity, a light overcast and nice cooling, gentle breezes  ;D ;D ;D

I will be flying my 576 E-Ringmaster with RC throttle control again this year.  We logged around a 100 flights last year.  Landing gear had just about given up the ghost.  I have replaced it so she should be good to go.  I have lots of batteries. For this I can dig out all of the old junk that will hold any kind of a charge.  If a battery craps out you just land and change it out.  Last year we got 5 to 6 flights per each old warn out pack.  As always weather is a factor.    #^    #^    #^    #^   ;D    ;D

Built by Ronnie Thompson for George Rittenhouse so George can fly in the Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon.  Ronnie built the airplane and mounted the motor. I mounted the electronics and battery platform. I also setup the KR timer for 2 minutes flight time and 9200 RPMs.  George will be the piolet.  Much fun had by all!   #^   #^   #^

Well I test flew my 576 E-Ringmaster today.  It is setup with a RC throttle.  All is good! Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon is next Saturday and Sunday.  Hopefully my Pilot Matthew Smiley shows up.  I need his young legs to put in a 100 flights!   y1  LL~

The forecast for Huntsville Alabama is as follows:

Saturday A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 74.
Sunday A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.

So it depends if it's Am or PM showers.  Time will tell.   D>K

I have two S1's all ready to go and one 120% Super Ringmaster if a fine state of readiness however we anticipate the arrival of Hurricane this weekend and that will definitely put a crimp in our plans! If hurricane happens we'll fly again the following weekend and report those flights!

Way to go Dwayne! My brother and I got in eight flights. We struggled keeping a good needle on both of our S-1 ringmasters. After changing numerous things, I believe it was  fuel and both engines ran good after a new bottle.

Flights in Piracicaba, SP Brazil

I could only fly Sunday as i finished mine at 1:01 am Sunday.

My Ringmaster was built from a Brodak kit, power by Enya SS30, 28.2oz

We did 13 flights total not much, it was Presidential Election Day and we gathered after 15:00 to get some flights.

Next year we will do better!

Lester takes it to another level. 🤣

Lester's top hat reminded me of a club member, Ken Barr, who applied non traditional stunt art to his planes. Ken was a commercial illustrator and artist. His color schemes and graphics were breathtaking, most all hand painted. The top hat in the photo is Monokote. A prolific builder, Ken was NOT a flyer. My job was to get his recent builds away from him before he flew them. I got this Ringmaster with one wing broken off.

Ken's no longer with us, having returned to Scotland and passing in 2016 but you can goggle him and see his art work.
