  Mixed some finishing resin, mixed it well, brushed it into tank/engine compartment, as well as the nose section of the top block.

  This was two days ago, the engine/tank section is cured, but not the nose section of the top block.

 Brought the parts into the house to check if the warmth here will help w/curing.

  Any other suggestions???

Try a heat gun, but don't get it too hot.
This is a strange situation however.
Was there anything on the nose block that might contaminate the resin?

I would seriously try the heat gun.  As long as you don't get it hot enough to burn or bubble the epoxy it can only help.  It will even help it flow into the wood better.

If all else fails I have added a second coat from a new batch to an uncured area.  This seems to set the underlying.  I do wipe down the coat that hasn't set with acetone before I start.

I ran into this very thing once a few eyars ago.  I got my plane by a window and let the sun do its job for a day. I kept moving the plane around as the sun would move.  The sun through a window hardened it up.

I would not use a heat gun, use a hair dryer instead if you have one, and keep the plane in a warm place, or where the sun can shine on the epoxy

Is it polyester finishing resin? If so I found out years ago that it will not set up over anything that has epoxy on it. I had used epoxy around the nose of my Spinks Acromaster to glue it together, and then tried to finish it with polyester finshing resin. After a few days of still being sticky, I removed as much as I could with lacquer thinner, and sanded it all back down. Then I went with thinned epoxy using K&B Superpoxy thinner. That worked much better. I don't remember trying heat, so maybe that will work. Good luck.

  Thanks to all y'all, that's Southern for everybody, I heated it up with the hair dryer today and it seem's to be settin up.
  Mr Kraft, this is epoxy finishin resin, not polyester, because I have been told that the polyester will not cure over epoxy also, again thanks for all the advice.

Hey Randy, Ya' have to be careful about suggesting hair dryers to OLD guys...some have absolutely no reason to own a hair dryer...

I put a coat of thinned Great Planes Pro Epoxy finishing resin on a fuselage and put it in a heated room for the day. It must have been over 80 degrees in there and the resin cured nicely in about 8 hours.

To Bootlegger. Having read all the previous posts, I miss one hint.
 Next time, use a UV sun tanning unit and direct the rays on your epoxy. I bought a real old fashioned mercury vapour lamp for this purpose and it works miracles. Heat alone will help, but UV really makes epoxy go off.Natural sunlight will  work of course, but not through a glass pane. You would have to put the epoxy in the direct sunlight, outside.

LOl I know, what ya do is wait till the wife goes shopping...borrow here hair dryer... don't forget to put it back exactly as found 1!.....  if needed wipe off anything that was not on it when you ..er borrowed it..
