Rare unique photo chance while flying
« on: May 31, 2016, 04:15:08 PM »
So my dad was flying his Stiletto last evening and a rain storm swept in suddenly right to the East of our field and gave a pretty unique photo opportunity.  Think I may have to blow one up and give to him as a fathers day gift.  Just wish I had a better camera at the time than a cell phone...

Hi Jared. That cellphone takes a pretty darn good picture. It can be enhanced too. If you'll email me a copy of the full sized original, I can see if I can brighten the colors and sharpen it up for you.

Really nice pics mate.

I recently took some flying pics with my mobile phone and was surprised how well it went.

Here's your 1st pic made a little more dramatic. Hope you like it.

Wow, how do you do that?

Well it's magic really, I can sell you the right incantations to do it, OR
open your pic in your favourite photo handling software, they all seem to have a modification function.
From modify, go to Exposure, then brightness.
Move the slider to darken the image, then up the contrast until you're happy with the way it looks.
Save then publish.

It's a simple process but a lot of fun and as long as you save the original separately you can adjust until doomsday.

I've added noise so it looks like flying in snow, have fun,

Ben Franklin anyone?

Been there, done that (flew in spite of an impending rain)... never again.
