If like most contests, get there by 0700AM.   I remember many, many, many years ago when scale contest had the contestants there at sun light.  So they could get flights in before the wind came up.   This was in Wichita KS at the old Beech field.

John got there shortly after we drew the flight order for Classic.  Thanks to the clever program we use, we were able to draw his flight order with equivalent randomness and integrate him into the schedule.  It didn't help his engine run, alas.
