We had that happen at our last contest, too. Sun from the upwind side of the circle is very abnormal. Call the UN; it must be from all the airborne electrons or VGs or something?   #^ Steve

Actually here in Tucson (also known at CL Heaven) the most common conditions in the mornings are 3-5 mph winds off the direction of the boat lake which is where the sun comes up so it's the best possible conditions.

However with the wind from any other direction it can be very turbulent air.  Fortunately the prevailing conditions are Great!
