PROPS
« on: April 04, 2007, 02:05:39 PM »

 Hello fellow modelers,
I have an OS Pet .099 coming from a friend, and I need some suggestions as to what prop to use on it.
It is a single by-pass motor with an iron piston, so 25% castor fuel with 10% nitro is what I'll be usin'.
If you have any other suggestions please feel free to jump in with them.
This is the engine that I'm gonna fly (RMaster Jr) at one of my Grand childrens schools.
I sure do 'ppreciate all ya'll pitchin' in ... D>K

Gil,

From way back when I remember that the .074 used a 7x4. so I think the .099 would use a 7 5 or 6 perhaps an 8x4.

Choices Huh.

Hi Gil,

I would start with the 7-5.  I don't think the old "Pet" will be able to handle an 8" prop.  Not the strongest of the old .099 as I recall............
