Along with the  second batch I sent out I am including  new  G Clips for  retaining the pin, When you install the new piston sleeve set, make sure you put the rod on with the chamfer on the bottom bushing, pointing toward the front of the  motor, make  sure  you case is  clean inside, and  has  NO cuts scratches or carbon, that will interfere with the aluminum sleeve, if there is  sand it smooth, hone it smooth , or  call me.
Lubricate the inside case and the outside of the sleeve with copious amounts of  thick oil, like castor .
If there is any interference and the sleeve stops, do not force it. use common sense and  you will be  OK
There should not be any problems  changing the  P/S out in your motor, and you will  lose an ounce

These , unlike the  46 VF  ABC  sleeves  will be   AAC  and will make your 40 VF  near 1 ounce  lighter

Hi Randy  I did make a run of  VF 46  true  ABC, piston sleeve setup, they are  thinner  so not as heavy as the  40 VF
But  I sold them all  so  I may make another  46 VF  AAC  run  if  people  will want them

Yeah, I have a couple of the ABC ones.  I would also like a couple of the AAC ones.  I have a theory that they handle the heat here in Arizona a bit better than the ABC ones!

That sound like it would be  correct, the  Sleeves I have are  aluminum, and the OS case is  Aluminum, NOTHING  has a closer expansion coefficient rate  than the AAC setup,  Brass is  close,  Steel has to be a tight press fit, so the  AAC  is  best of the  best. 
I would expect  the  AAC  to be  the most stable  of  all  the  materials used

It is the Exact same as the particular engine, Low Timed VF 40, That we use for  CL Stunt ships  they made higher comp  high timed version, so these are the  low time ones, Only mine are  AAC and  Hard Chrome

That AAC P/L would be nice retro fitted into some plain bushing engine like an FP40 or an LA40 but would it be much better than a Brodak 40? maybe, who knows.

If you could do it, it would still be kinda like  apples and  oranges, as  they are  really different style motors
