Old Versus New - who knew?
« on: June 04, 2012, 02:39:29 PM »
Just for fun I took and ARF Smoothie out to the field along with my Yatsenko - I flew the Yatsenko and per usual - it is a great flying airplane - then I decided to "have a go" with the Smoothie (which I had never flown before) and waht a surprise!!!!!

I couldn't believe a plane of that vintage could fly such a nice pattern.....I was SHOCKED to say the least........

Obviously there were a range of differences in handling - but once I got used to the way it was flying - I put some nice shapes up with it...

BTW - both are electric.........
In the battle of airplane versus ground, the ground is yet to lose

If you like the last version of the Thunderbird, and you add 1.3 inches to the tail moment, slender the fuse down in height, and place the landing gear in the wing about 14-15 inch spread you will really love it

Yeah, John, and back in the '60s there were many new names that were not a Nobler with some few minor changes.  y1
