He's a guy from Ohio that buys up modeler estates, and then resells them. He came into my area and bought up the life long collection of a dear old friend of mine, who was fighting Alzheimer's and his daughter needed to move him back east to a nursing home where she lives. A local guy was handling the liquidation by listing the stuff on Craig's List, and He saw the add and made them an offer they couldn't refuse. I'm sure you have seen some of the stuff, lots of stuff going back into the fifties. The guy was a retired airline pilot and also owned a hobbhy shop at one time, and then dealt to friends and club members from his basement, so that will give you an idea of the depth and scope of what he had! I was bit miffed that some of his closest friends here didn't get a chance to obtain anything of his, and there was one F/F kit I had loaned him and had not gotten back from him. I contacted gatafish (forget his real name right now) and told him the story, and he was very cool about the whole thing, and located the kit for me. I had him hold it until he started listing some of the stuff and I was able to bid on and win a couple of old F/F kits that were kind of special to me. He told me he buys up estates, and was working on setting up an old fashioned hobby shop in a local specialty shopping district to sell stuff along with his eBay auctions. He only buys top notch new stuff, as you probably noticed from his auctions. He's a straight shooter and good to deal with. I just try to avoid viewing his stuff regularly because like you said, he ALWAYS has such neat stuff and I have to restrain myself!
Type at you later,
