HI can some one help me? I have two Super Tiger 60 Blue head RC engines that have been reworked. The crank close at 65 degrees the exhaust total is 165 open the tuned pipe total is 180 open.that is the info from the guy the reworked them.I would like to know can they be used for control line with a pipe.

With that much exhaust duration they would be difficult to tame to a reasonable rpm range for Cl Stunt.  Put one of them on the bench and run it with a pipe mounted and see haw it runs at about 10,000 RPM.  If it will Reasonably turn a 12.25- 4.0 prop at a steady rpm it might work.

Question:  Was the intended purpose for these engines R/C Pattern, or what?

I have had two of them. The ABC 4 port PDP Ring versions-"hot ones". I absolutely would not waste my time using them for control line stunt. They are just too wild. In fact, I sold them because, I thought they were just much too hot for me for RC pattern.
