With that much exhaust duration they would be difficult to tame to a reasonable rpm range for Cl Stunt. Put one of them on the bench and run it with a pipe mounted and see haw it runs at about 10,000 RPM. If it will Reasonably turn a 12.25- 4.0 prop at a steady rpm it might work.
Question: Was the intended purpose for these engines R/C Pattern, or what?

Yes it was intended for RC pattern.

I have had two of them. The ABC 4 port PDP Ring versions-"hot ones". I absolutely would not waste my time using them for control line stunt. They are just too wild. In fact, I sold them because, I thought they were just much too hot for me for RC pattern.
