Kit Survey - Aetos
« on: February 27, 2010, 11:10:03 AM »
In the 1970's Roger Greene designed a plane called the Aetos which is the Greek word for Eagle. It is a 25 size flapped stunter with a built up profile.

Wing Area - 315 Sq in

Wing Span - 42 inches

Engine - .25

Length - 29 1/2 inches to the back of rudder.

This plane features a flush fuselage side (doublers are flush with sides) and a built up profile from the wing area back. Because of this the plane can be built to be very light and the kit is very easy to assemble. It will do the pattern with ease.

For those of you who like the "jet" look, this kit is for you.

If there is enough interest in this kit, I will start the process of doing plans, building a prototype and then kitting the plane.

The kits would be available sometime in May or early June if there is enough interest. If you want to be put on the waiting list please send an e mail to me at CustomCutKits@cox.net.

By the way the plane was designed and built in 1979 do is does qualify for PAMPA Nostalgia 30 event.

Thank you

Mike Griffin
