Ferrari 250 Europa Speciale, S/N 0383GT (GT indicate a Grand Touring road car)
1954 I believe.
Built as a street car for a very wealthy customer, it was also raced extensively.
Here's the engine.

Somebody had to have deep pockets to take the peice of junk and turn it into what it is now.  As the saying still goes, "What is one man's junk is another treasure".  Looks great.  Wonder what it would do if at highway speeds, you punched the throttle to the floor.  H^^

One thing I learned a looong time ago  - you can't outrun a radio signal.

I've done it twice, once in a Pantera and once in a Vette. Of course I was much younger and much dumber.

Years ago a fellow worker bought a new Studebaker Avanti (sp?) and was driving from Indianapolis to Cincinnati late at night.  He commented that he saw lights in his rear view mirror and wondered if it was a cop.  He slowed down to find out.  It was an Indiana State Police trooper.  He said the first thing the trooper asked was "Why did you slow down?"

The trooper implied that he was in the clear all the way to the state line if he had not slowed down.  The trooper gave him a ticket for doing 90 in a 70 speed limit zone because that was all his squad car could do.

This would have been in the 1960's

I managed that once, not by outrunning the radio but successfully hiding from it in the parking lot of the police station...

Weren't Panteras known for engine fires?
