Small Aluminum Duralloy Landing Gears for Profile

Before RSM closed, they offered a smaller flat 2 piece aluminum landing gear for smaller profiles. After searching a lot, I have not been able to find a source for them.  The Brodak 1776 gear is a little too big for these smaller profiles.  Does anyone have a source for these?

 I can't help you with a source for the gear legs. I have gone to On Line Metals for landing gear material. It is my understanding 2024 aircraft aluminum has for the most part replaced Duralumin as it is a comparable alloy having similar strength and hardness. Last time I bought a 12" x 24" sheet of .090. I cut it on an old band saw with a fine tooth metal blade and finish it on a Scotch Brite wheel.

Try Brodak BG-1722 Landing Gear for 38 Special. Perfect size for an ARF Flite Streak. I'm sure it will work on a Skyray 35 etc.

Aluminum 6061-T6 .090 is what I used on the P-Force models, if it’s lighter that 35 to 40 ounces you can use .060 that seems to work on smaller models.  SIg had a series of smaller R/C models Scamp and others, that used the .060 models that worked well,   I’m sure there are others that might be even better but I know this works.

I’ve used sendcutsend.com before for various aluminum and other material project needs. Upload
a cad file to their specs and they can laser cut everything and also bend as needed.

 I make and sell aluminum landing gear for 15 size Goodyear racers. I can sell you a pair of flat blanks for $5.00, or bent, drilled and edges polished for $12.00. They are .090, 2024 aluminum. The blanks are 4" long, 1" wide at the top, and 1/2" wide at the bottom. I had them machine cut. I bend them myself on a small brake. Shipping is $3.00 for a pair of blanks, or $5.00 for pre-bent gear. Reply here or send a PM if interested.

If you do a search on Hobby King you might find a carbon fiber set that will work on a profile.

 I made all of RSM dural gear for years, about 20, While I am not actively producing them, I probably have some packed away if I really
wanted to go out into the shop and look. Bill Bishoff continues to make a really good set.

I've a number of gear off crashed full bodies. Cut them in half and re-bent for profile.They're a bit heavy as is. But work.
