New Vector 40 (well almost)
« on: August 20, 2007, 02:36:12 PM »
A while ago I hit a thermal with my vector - lost line tension and destroyed the fuse  - the main wing was still intact - so I rebuilt the fuse and now have it completed - and here she is

Randy - it actually came out lighter - I changed the method of building the fuse and saved 3oz.

So pretty happy about that!  y1

Wynn,

Sound like a win/win (sorry for the pun).

I'm getting ready to repair and refinish my classic plane. I hope to do as well.

Nice colour scheme : what spinner are you using and also what engine ; looks like an LA46 ? If so, how does it suit the model ; I have both LA46 or Brodak 40 to choose from for mine.

Warren,
I fly comps - I placed 6th in the country last year - and I missed a few comps - so am hoping to attend more this coming season and crack the top 5.

Bombat - Yes it is an LA46 - the plane and motor combo are fantastic - can guarantee a good engine run every time.  Spinner is Brodak 1 3/4" needle nose

If you reduced the weight by 3oz during rebuild.
