New MCRC web site
« on: December 05, 2017, 02:27:01 PM »
A couple months ago the Venice RC Club adopted a new web site, offered by a company called "DualRates"....I checked it out and it seemed ideal for almost any model airplane club.
Essentially a template is provided that is easy to edit and add pictures, verbiage and upload newsletters.
An optional feature is to take Pay Pal (the MCRC, being stogie old critters opted NOT to, but the Venice guys did.....and it works like a champion!).
The developer seems pretty Internet hip....and answers questions promptly.
Give our new site a look.

Thanks

That's good info and one more option to consider.  We are looking at going digital with our club newsletter here in Utah.  According to our treasurer, a large percentage of our club dues is spent on printing and postage.  http://www.dualrates.com/pls/apex/f?p=RC5:1::::::

I have been looking at using weebly as well, as the Minnesota Piston Poppers have an enviable newsletter that uses Weebly as the host.  http://www.pistonpoppers.com/
The midsouth CL page is on weebly as well.  https://mid-southcl.weebly.com/index.html

Flyinglines.org is the digital newsletter that we all want to be when we grow up.
Laser-cut, "Ted Fancher Precision-Pro" Hard Point Handle Kits are available again.  PM for info.

What appealed was the support, PLUS the fact that the price is $120.00 per year (add $20 if you wish to use the Pay Pal feature).
I do the newsletter in PDF and it is on the web site as well.

Have fun!

Web space is affordable until you up the size and bandwidth.
