Would that be enough power for a Sig Banshee?

I don't think they have the Brett version but my take is that most Enya are sport engines with mild timing so maybe add some head shims and you're good.

You just run them as they come out of the box, in a wet 2-stroke.

It looks like it came with an extra head shim. I'd like to know what size venturi it came with. Enya has a 6.5 and a 7mm available and just came out with a 7.5mm that fits that series.

The SS30EXS is next up: http://www.enya-engine.com/SS30EX_E.html

From the link, it looks like you can have either.

The  Enya SS30 is very popular here in Brazil. The engine is lighter then OS 25LA, but it has a lot more power and will last for ever!

I request John Miller to reduce the Pathfinder profile to 49"ws and 530sq.in. so we could offer a great profile with an Enya SS30 and it workout very well indeed. The Enya has lots of torque and superb speed control which allows for a slow flight with tight lines.

I watched this video on facebook and noticed that it was flying on the slow side.  What were the lap times, do you know.  Also what was the percentage reduction from the full size to get to 49" and 530 squares ?

assuming they don't do something like just shortening the tips or keep the same ribs, and use an exactly proportional drawing- use the square of the fractional change in the wingspan as a multiplier. For example,  56-> 49in. =49/56= .875 of the original area.   Going the other way-   49->56  =56/49 = 1.14*1.14 = 1.3   *530=688sq.in.  Just like a 12in. square is 144 squares, a 24in. square is 576 squares(144 x 4).

The as 30 has been out at least 4 years, Randy would know. This is what Samantha flew till she move up to intermediate. It was a iron piston motor. The new one are ABC like the 25. I think enya also had a 35 in the same case, Randy was out before I could get one. Randy my have got special engine for Enya, my brother got a 45 pro that was ball bearing motor, but it only showed it as bushing from Enya.

This engine was plenty available until Enya cut production one or two years ago.  They had the SS25, SS25 AAC, SS25BB AAC, SS30, SS30BB and SS35BB ring, all made from the the engine block. Sold many of them here in Brazil.

Not sure! I never measured the laps. I guess 5.4s

It was reduced about 11%

I should note that  the engine in the video é 100% Stock, except I install a bigger optional Enya venturi to get the power needed to spin the APC 10.5 x 4.5.  Altitude Density was about 4500ft that day and I used 10% nitro.

Just finished my new ride for this motor, weight RTF is 27 oz. Brodak Shark 402, was a real nice kit. I put about 40 minutes run time on the bench with the little Enya, and it ran great. I used Omega 10% control line fuel with 2oz castor added to a quart, TF 9x4 wood prop. I may try a 9x5 or 10x4 for flying.

That Shark's a nice plane, I might have to build me one of them.
