NEW CONTROL LINE HOBBY STORES
« on: September 23, 2010, 01:40:13 PM »
A new hobby store opened in Florida and it is just beginning to carry Control line models.  Why should you care?  Because if there are more stores then there there will be more manufactures, more models, and better prices.  Well anyway you need to go in, check it out and tell the owner what you would like him to carry. In that way you will have the kind of store that you want.

I'll keep my comments about the KC (Overland Park) Hobby Haven.  But, they did order a kit for me one time even tho it was a twiddly stick plane.   S?P

Hey Doc,

The Kansas City area is suffering badly from a shortage of Hobby Shops with a reasonable stock of control line type shelf items.  Where do you obtain your fuel.?  Does this have to be a mail order item or can all castor (25% to 29%) be found any where in the K.C. area?  Almost all of my engines are the old iron piston, steel liner types and require this fuel. ......      If you want a better hobby store, get your chums together and go in and tell him what you want.  If there is enough request they will carry the products that you want.  Mention Black Hawk Models.

As info, I tried to call this shop and the number was not working.  I checked the internet and the correct number for Airtime Hobbies is 386 313-2619.

I live about 30 miles north of Bunnell and will be passing through there tomorrow or Tuesday.  I plan to stop by and check it out.
