Hey RAD!! guess who just happened to have a set of Nemesis II plans handy!! ME!! I don't know why I have them, but they are old and must have come from someone's estate. These were drawn by Neal White, and they do not show any balance point or CG. There are no other hints on the plan where this came from, no magazine or plan service, just a typical, blue line copy. I'm sure Hoard will fill in the details for you. I thought the Nemesis and it's follow up had both been published but don't know where to look right off or I would check the magazine articles.
  Type at you later,

I got my Nemesis plans from the roll that Howard had atb the NATS the year he won the open title.   I remember in the work hanger someone asked him where the balance point was.  He handed his plane to the person and we watched hang nose down on the leading edge.  I balanced mine the same way and loved it.  Would have kept flying combat if AMA had not ruled we could not start our own engines. Howard Rush published his Nemesis II in the August 1972 issue of American Aircraft Modeler.  The plans do not show where the CG is.  I cannot find any reference to the CG in Howard's article, but I do not have the last page of the article in my file.

Always put the balance point where the CG is.

My recall is on the spar, but then adjusted for the desired pitch sensitivity / speed in turns.  The popular strategy was to favor speed and not set the CG so far back so as to allow full control input to result in producing a speed-robbing stall.  Interacts to a degree with throw, also minimal throw favored for speed.
