Mystery tube muffler
« on: October 09, 2015, 04:56:52 PM »
I ran across this in my stuff and doesn't fit any of my engines.
Horizontal hole spacing is ~ 1.440", .~530" vertical, O.A.L. 3.125".
Anyone recognize it, what it fits?

Thanks.

Fox .35 stunt with muffler ears, or with the tapped holes over and under the exhaust. They are kind of rare, and work well with them. not real heavy either.

Thanks Dan - hoped it might be .35; weighs 1.6 oz/40 grams.
Who made it?

Terry

Edit:
Just found it'll fit a Fox .25 R/C - forgot I had that one.

Thanks ARA - so it's stock Fox?

Unfortunately Mike, IIRC, one of the ears is broken on that engine.  ;D

And I've found it almost fits over the exhaust on my old Fox .35s - a few touches with a file, some gasket compound  S?P  and I can replace the Webra .40 muffler that's on the RingStreakster.  #^

With a little modification they fit a ST/46. I have been using one for years with a strap on it on a ST/46.
